Post Bathtime Peek a Boo

After bath time, we played a little Peek a Boo.

If it's too hot, get out of the kitchen

and the living room, dining room, and well, heck, the whole state of New Jersey.

Last Monday it was super HOT here and Ben and I practically roasted. So Tuesday morning we packed our bags (17 to be exact) and drove ALL BY OURSELVES to Grandma Marcia's in Pennsylvania. What a delightful respite... central air conditioning, home cooked meals, and plenty of visitors to oogle at Ben. Both Ben and I felt quite liberated taking our first adventure together. Not counting hospital stays, it was Ben's first overnight since March 22nd and my first overnight since January 2nd!

Can it really be true??

Can it really be true that it's 9:30pm on a Wednesday night and I have the cutest-baby-in-the- world who is ASLEEP in his bassinet and has been ASLEEP since 8 pm thereby enabling his parents to actually SIT DOWN TOGETHER for dinner?

Can it really be true that the aforementioned cutest-baby-in-the-world has been NAPPING during the day and today took a THREE HOUR nap today thus enabling his mother to nap, clean, and email her friends?

Can it really be true that the CBITW weighs almost 13 pounds?

Can it really be true that CBITW has spit up on every surface in the house, including an impressive triple shot down Mommy's shoulder covering her shirt, skirt, AND living room rug?

YES YES YES!!!

It's all true!!

Way to go Ben.
