Hmmm, not Yummm

We got the go-ahead to start feeding Ben rice cereal. First we practiced sitting in our brand new high chair. Then we practiced sitting in our brand new high chair and holding a spoon. FINALLY, Momma P tried giving BP some rice cereal. Ben's opinion was definitely "Hmmm. What is this gruel?" He was not very excited. After a few spoonfuls, he got hysterical. Not a very positive food experience. But, we kept plugging away, always with the same result.

Then, on Sunday, Ben tasted oatmeal for the first time. What a difference!! He LOVES it! We'll have to take some pictures of Happy Ben eating delicious oatmeal.

The Best Gift EVER!!

The amazing Bookclub women sent Ben the most beautiful gift. They created an ABC book, especially for Ben with pictures of all of our favorite, most meaningful things from Somerville ("D is for Dave in Davis Square"; "U is for Upstairs at the Square").

As you can see from the pictures, Ben is captivated by the book.

Momma and Poppa P treasure this gift and whenever we're missing our friends or our old stomping grounds, we know where to turn.
